Singapore is one of the strictest countries on the Asian continent. Like other least corrupt countries in the world, they also want to cover the issue of corruption. The best strategy they have in place is to pay local political leaders with reasonably high salaries so they will already be content and will not be tempted to resort to corruption. To have this process, it can be considered as a much defined move from the country of Singapore. Apart from this, Singapore implements an effective criminal justice system and the citizens have the right of speech.

Also a Scandinavian country that is connected to Denmark, Sweden got a high score of 88 on the Corruption Perceptions Index. This is an impressive score and the world should know how Sweden makes sure that public officials are not engaged in any corruptive behavior or activity. In this country, looking at the expense claims of a public official is allowed. This allows the government to ensure that their process is transparent.

Over the years, New Zealand, an island in the southwestern Pacific Ocean, has maintained its high scoring on the corrupt index scale. Getting a whopping score of 90, people in New Zealand are proven to believe that they live in a less corrupt country for sure. The country also has a process named the “grand corruption” wherein corruption is discussed with conviction, and they have even set rules that can break the law, just to ensure they are on top of their commitment against fraud and corruption.

Disclosure of information and transparency has been their biggest issues that they had to address to totally fight corruption. Another different aspect of Finland is that the public is very much involved in possible infringement of law. Through this, transparency is well-highlighted.

It takes a lot of trust to be able to believe in your leadership or government. Denmark is the number one in the European countries and, as what the list shows, the number one least corrupt country in the whole world.
